To the Farallons and Back Again: A Mermaid's tale

Delight in a fairy tale puppet show featuring a 64 foot long scrolling back-drop (or crankie) set in the Gold Rush era beneath the waves at the Farallon Islands and in the city of San Francisco. Jointed paper puppets guide the story as you join Risa to sing sea chanties, mermaid melodies and create sound-scapes for the hand-printed paper world.

Save the Day for Snail
Save the Day for Snail is an interactive handmade puppet show featuring Gladsy the snail designed for ages 3 through 9 and their families. Puppeteer Risa Lenore combines live acting and puppetry in this new show made from reclaimed and upcycled materials. Risa as storyteller and performer guides the audience through many emotions as the cable-knit snail searches for a new home. This is an eco-fable, a timely yet silly tale that reminds us that innovative community solutions are the only way forward.

The Muffin Man

The Muffin Man Puppet show celebrates sharing and caring as the muffin man (played by Risa) travels through country, town and city delivering muffins to many animal friends. This show is akin to a variety show- each animal has their own song and dance and children are invited to sing and dance along! This show is a best for toddler and preschool audiences and their families.
Gardenia and Greedy Gus
Enjoy an interactive table top puppet show best suited for 3-7 year olds about a young girl with magical gardening powers whose neighbor, Greedy Gus, tries to take it all away. Through some exciting transformations and the help of the audience, she discovers the courage to stand up. This show was co-written by 6 and 7 year olds and characters and sets were designed by preschoolers and kindergartners, brought to life with puppeteer Risa Lenore's crafting skills.
Jaquelyn and the Beanstalk
A 6 foot pop up book provides the stage for the reimagining of this classic tale. Centering the bravery of a young child as told through the eyes of a gold-egg laying chicken, this delightful performance combines live acting, paper puppets, pop-up and 3D puppets. Best for ages 5 through 10.
