New Project!
Possibly Public
Possibly Puppets is partnering with social artist Richie Rhombus to create
public experiences in the commons around Lake Merritt. Possibly Public is a curated people-empowered art experience offered to the public in Oakland’s free, open public places.

The Experience Cafe
We believe art strengthens Oakland. Possibly Puppets in collaboration with Richie Rhombus, brings art experiences, workshops and performances to Oakland. At Lake Merritt, we created an ongoing pop-up offering for the people passing through the park, many who live or work in the immediate area. At this entirely free ‘Experience Cafe’ pop-up, strangers stop to have conversations at the conversation bar; the public is invited to choose from ‘free professional life coaching’, or to co-create a toy theatre puppet show. We provide unexpected moments of imagination, connection and expression expanding our communal sense of the possible.

Possibly Public:
Experience Village
Possibly Public expands our “Experience Cafe” into a multi-organization temporary village. Adding a free-school for learning, a kitchen for free delicious meals and a healing space for those who often lack access to resources. We’re building a connected “we”, a “we” whose imaginations are expanded because of the stewardship of kind, welcoming and innovative artists who envision beyond the confines of society.
